Schedule Orientation/Register for Classes:

As a transfer student, you need to attend a MANDATORY Transfer Student Orientation session where you will learn how to plan your first schedule, become acclimated with the campus, and meet with an Academic Advisor. The Center for Advising & Student Transitions (CAST) coordinates Orientation.

Provide Proof of Mandatory Immunizations

To ensure the health of our students, all incoming students are required to submit the Montclair State University Immunization Form. Please bring this form to your physician for completion.

Course Advisement

You will receive instruction on how to meet with your faculty or professional advisor during your scheduled orientation session.

Review your Analysis of Academic Progress

As a transfer student, you will able to access your Analysis of Academic Progress (i.e. Credit Evaluation) within 10 business days from the receipt of the acceptance letter.  The credit evaluation will tell you how your courses are transferring over and what courses you have left to complete in order to receive your degree from Montclair.  To learn more about the Analysis of Academic Progress and how to access it, visit the CAST website.

By comparing the information on your Analysis to the courses being offered during the upcoming semester, you can begin to build your schedule through WESS.
