Italian Immersion Summer Program

High school students from New Jersey, New York and Connecticut who have successfully completed Italian 3 Honors (or equivalent) are encouraged to participate in the new full-immersion, three-week course in Italian language and culture at Montclair State University.

The Summer Program is great preparation for advanced/AP Italian courses and the AP exam. The Program also gives students the opportunity to earn three college credits in just three weeks. Three college credits at Montclair State for in-state students typically costs about $1,200 – earn three credits through the Italian Immersion Summer Program for the discounted rate of only $750!

Price includes all field trips with transportation, entrance fees and gourmet food workshops.

Scholarships are now available! A number of full $750 program scholarships are being offered for Italian Immersion Summer Program participants. To apply for a scholarship, complete the online survey by Monday, June 5 at midnight.

The Italian Immersion Summer Program offers students the chance to participate in fun and interesting trips and activities outside the classroom, including: film screenings, museum visits (Center for Modern Italian Art in Soho, New York), thematic walking tours (Renzo Piano architecture in New York), Italian-American heritage sites (Botto House in New Jersey), and cooking lessons with Italian experts (Dolce Federica chocolate maker).

Join us from July 10 through 27, 2017, Monday – Thursday (9:00 am- 4:00 pm).
