A First Year Student's Orientation Experience 2011-2012

Congratulations on your acceptance to Montclair State University!  All new students admitted for the Fall 2012 semester are required to attend Summer New Student Orientation.  During this program, you will receive your Montclair State University photo ID, meet peers, learn about vaulable resources, and register for courses.

All freshman students are required to participate in 2012 Summer New Student Orientation. During this program students will:

  • Participate in a variety of informative and exciting activities.
  • Gather information about life on a college campus, learn about institutional policies and procedures, and explore academic opportunities.
  • All freshman students will meet with an Academic Advisor and REGISTER for courses during the summer New Student Orientation.

Freshmen Transfers

Students transferring less than two full-time, at least 29 credit hours, semesters (either both completed, or one complete and the other currently in progress) are considered Freshmen Transfers.  These students should attend a New Student Orientation.


 

If you have been admitted to Montclair State University for the Fall 2012 semester and have paid your deposit, information concerning your Summer New Student Orientation (NSO) experience will be mailed to you in mid Spring 2012. Please look out for that information as that time approaches.
