The Alumni Recruitment Team works with The Office of Undergraduate Admissions to help identify prospective students and guide them through the college decision process. The group represents the University at outreach events such as college fairs, participates in on-campus recruitment programs, such as Open House and Freshman Discovery Day, serves as regional contacts for prospective students and families, and assists with letter writing campaigns to prospective students. The Dean's Lecture Series presents "Boys to Men: Transforming the Boy Crisis into a Boy Opportunity." This lecture, led by Dr. Warren Farrell, will take place on Friday, September 9, 2011, from 4:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. in University Hall 1060. Dr. Farrell’s books contribute to 12 disciplines. He has taught at the university level in five disciplines, and appeared on more than 1,000 TV and radio shows, from Oprah to Larry King Live. Area middle school students learn about career and academic opportunities in math and science at Montclair State University. The Joseph and Elda Coccia Institute is a component of Montclair State University's College of Humanities and Social Sciences. It was named in honor of Cav. Joseph Coccia, Jr. and his wife Elda. Former Red Hawk Marco Capozzoli Still Coming Up Big in the Clutch; Organizes Kicks for Kids with AFL's Jacksonville Sharks
Montclair, NJ --Former Montclair State placekicker Marco Capozzoli provided plenty of joyful moments for Red Hawk fans during his career at Montclair State helping his team to the 2009 NJAC Championship and NCAA Playoffs. Two years later, Capozzoli, now a member of the Arena Football League’s Jacksonville Sharks, is still at it although this time his clutch kicks through the uprights are doing more than just helping the Sharks to victory. MSU Soccer Park at Pittser Field Has New Look for 2011
MSU Soccer Park at Pittser Field will have a new look come this September. The home of the Red Hawks men’s and women’s soccer teams since 1998, the facility underwent a renovation during the months of May and June, most notably on the field surface where the natural grass has been replaced with field turf. In addition, new bleachers were constructed and windscreens bearing the Montclair State logo enclose the playing area.

Theresa Concepcion '04
Theresa Concepcion is a native of New Jersey and, in 2004 she received a B.A., magna cum laude, in English from Montclair State University. During her time at Montclair, Theresa contributed to the campus community by serving as Secretary for the Latino America Student Organization and by starting two columns for the Montclarion school paper which were the first of their kind.
