Daniel Infanti ’76 and Joette (Franco) ’76 Met mid-senior year on a Thursday night of fun at the Rathskeller. A four-year Stone Hall resident from Keyport, met a commuter girl from Nutley, and were married four years later. Still living in northern N.J. with two grown sons as we approach our 30th wedding anniversary. We have so many great memories of the years at Montclair State, but the top of the list is the love connection for life that we were able to make that crazy winter night in the Student Center. Rebecca A. Mackay '06 and Christopher Fitzpatrick '04 were wed on October 11, 2009. Chris received his degree in Business Administration and is a former SGA President (2002-2003) and founder of A.S.S.I.S.T. Chris is currently a Recruiter for Enterprise Rent-a-Car. Rebecca received her degree in Elementary Education, and is teaching in the Clifton School system. The wedding was attended by several MSU alumni, including former Student Government Officers and Board of Trustee student reps, many of whom acted as groomsmen. The couple met when Rebecca, as a freshman, saw Chris speak at her orientation about campus involvement and the Student Government. (Posted 10.19.09) |

on Valentine's Day in 1977 and they waited until after graduation to wed. (Posted 7.16.09) |

Maria (Ceres) '72 '75 MA & Bob Schmidt '71 admit that it was their custom to have lunch under a tree on campus and sometimes shared "public displays of affection." A professor once approached them with the words: "This is not a drive-in movie." The Schmidts are pictured here in front of their favorite tree on Sept. 20, 2008 when they returned to campus for the University's Centennial celebration. (Posted 2.10.09)

Darlina (Pisano) '86 and Paul Scheuplein '86
Darlina and I met freshman year in an accounting class. For four and a half years we were friends with a mutual attraction to each other but were committed to other relationships. We spent a lot of time studying together, dancing at local clubs and the RAT, but never "officially" dated. After graduation, the timing became right for us. We were married in 1994. We have three boys: a 6- year- old and twin 4-year-olds. (Posted 2.10.09)

Robert Cooper '83 and Shari (Glickstein) '83
Freshman year 1979 - Bohn Hall 16th floor, my now husband of 23 years, passed out in my room! I barely knew him but it was love ever since! We are both graduates of the 1983 class and have lived in New Jersey, Connecticut, North Carolina and now Georgia. We have two beautiful boys, 18 and 16 and are as in love today as we were in college. (Posted 2.10.09) |
Janna DiBartolo '04 and Evan Childs '98
Though Evan and I did not meet on campus during our college years, it was that mutual ground that eventually brought us together. We met as colleagues, working for the New Jersey Network in Trenton. Since our first conversation (about being MSU alumni), we've been together for three years and are now engaged, with plans to marry in March 2010. (Posted 2.10.09)
