H.S. ORCHESTRA FESTIVAL:

A festival primarily for high school orchestras, but individuals may participate as well. Hear performances by high school orchestras, the MSU Symphony Orchestra, the Shanghai Quartet, and the MSU Woodwind and Brass Faculty Quintets. Enjoy a masterclass (bring your instrument) with one of our artist faculty including the Shanghai, members of the New York Philharmonic,Metropolitan Opera, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, and others from the world's great musical institutions. Also receive advice on audition techniques, career methodology, and listening skills. (Participants may also schedule a tour of the campus with Maestro Hostetter at the end of the day).

Other opportunities: Prospective students may also make an individual appointment and schedule their day according to their interests and faculty availability.
