Music-therapy Students Hold Inaugural Night of Advocacy and Entertainment

This spring, the Music Therapy Student Organization presented its first annual Night of Advocacy and Entertainment at the Montclair Station in Upper Montclair.

Hosted by the students in the Music Therapy program, the evening consisted of speeches by current and former students, live musical performances by current students and a video answering the burning question "What is music therapy?" With a focus on educating about music therapy, advocating for the field and explaining where Montclair State University fits into the puzzle, the evening was a unique opportunity for students, teachers, family, friends, community members and government officials to interact and enjoy time together. The event drew close to 100 attendees.
