Financial Aid

Students applying for admission to the School of the Arts may apply for scholarships and other means of support through the MSU Office of Financial Aid by completing the FAFSA.

MSU & School of the Arts Scholarships

While most School of the Arts' scholarships become available to students after they enroll, there are several that are determined through the interview/audition process. (Recommendations must come through the interviewing faculty or department chair.) Scholarships for enrolled students appear in the back pages of the undergraduate catalogue or Graduate School’s webpage.

The following scholarships for enrolled students are among those sponsored by the Office of Student Services in the School of the Arts. Applications are available in January of each year from the office, located in Life Hall, Suite 224. Eligible students must apply by early March.

• Advisory Board Scholarship and Talent Awards
• Cento Amici Scholarship
• Dean's Artist/Scholar Award
• Don and Judy Miller Scholarship for the Visual Arts
• Jeanne Wade Heningburg Scholarship for the Performing Arts
  

Students should also apply to the Alumni Association, which awards scholarships in all majors.

Non-University Scholarships

Aside from MSU scholarships, there is a wealth of scholarship and internship opportunities from outside organizations that can be researched on-line. Here is a handful of websites to try (not an MSU endorsement):
