School of Communication and Media

Walkway to George Segal Gallery | College Hall in the distance Spring landscape

Greetings alumni!  We are now a school!

As you may have already gleaned from our Web pages, a lot has been happening since you may have graduated from your program in Communication Studies, Broadcasting or Filmmaking.  Our faculty, staff, students and programs have all come together under a new School of Communication and Media -- and, needless to say, we are very excited.  Improved programs, new degrees, building plans, and expanded opportunities for everyone – and as an alumnus, you are a valued member of our extended family.

Alumni are making names for themselves  .  .  .  Take a look at our Spotlight on Alums page to see what your colleagues have been up to. We'd like to know your story too, so please complete our Alumni Survey so we can stay in touch and learn what you are doing.

Come back to campus… get involved.  As a College of the Arts alumnus, you are always welcome on campus and we hope you will visit often.  The College’s Peak Performances offers critically acclaimed music, dance and theatrical events. Likewise the George Segal Gallery exhibits contemporary artists’ work of all genres, Be sure to check out our communication/media students’ work being produced through our School Productions and featured in our Student-work Gallery.

There are many on- and off-campus benefits available to you as a University alumnus, so please go to University Alumni Relations to learn more.

We thank you for all you do to help us further our mission.  Your success represents our success and we welcome your involvement with our School – whether by returning to speak to our students, offering internship opportunities through our Career Services or creating a scholarship through our Giving programs (College Giving / University Giving.)
