BASEBALL FALLS TO CORTLAND IN NCAA NEW YORK REGIONAL
Auburn, NY (5/15/08) – The Montclair State baseball team suffered its first loss of the tournament as the Red Hawks fell to top-seeded Cortland, 9-2 at the NCAA Division III New York Regional in Auburn, NY on Thursday. Montclair will face No. 3 two seed Ithaca, on Friday, May 16 at 10:00 am.
This is MSU's second NCAA Tournament appearance in the last three years and the 24th in the program's history.
MELE, FERRANTI NAMED OUTSTANDING ATHLETES OF THE YEAR
Montclair, NJ (5/12/08) - Montclair State University seniors Nick Mele (Delran, NJ / Delran) and Jackie Ferranti (Bergenfield, NJ / Bergenfield) were named Male and Female Outstanding Athletes of the Year, respectively as the Red Hawk Athletic Department handed out their awards for the 2007-08 academic year. The seniors were two of 15 student-athletes honored at the Annual All-Sports Banquet.
