DALTON NAMED PITCHER OF THE WEEK BY NJAC, NJCBA

Montclair, NJ (4/2/08) - Senior lefthander Kevin Dalton (Edison, NJ / Edison) earned a pair of honors as he was named the Pitcher of the Week by both the New Jersey Athletic Conference and the New Jersey Collegiate Baseball Association.

The 6-foot-0 senior left-hander posted a huge performance in the first New Jersey Athletic Conference game of the year as the Red Hawks defeated No. 3 ranked and defending NCAA champion Kean University, 8-1, in Little Falls. The lefty pitched eight scoreless innings allowing seven hits. He struck out five and walked one to improve to 3-0 this season. It was the second straight start that Dalton has pitched seven or more innings. In 23.2 innings over six appearances (two starts) he has a 3.04 ERA this year.
