KLIMCHAK, CORSETTO EARN WEEKLY HONORS FROM SKYLINE
Montclair, NJ (3/18/08) – Senior attack Bryan Klimchak (Clark, NJ / Arthur L. Johnson) and freshman Mike Corsetto (Kinnelon, NJ / Kinnelon) were both honored by the Skyline Conference on Tuesday as the duo were named the league's Player and Rookie of the Week, respectively.
The duo helped MSU to an 11-9 win over Eastern Connecticut in the Red Hawks lone game last week.
Klimchak came up big for Montclair State as the Red
Hawks topped Eastern Connecticut.
He scored on three extra-man opportunities. The game was
tied four times before Klimchak gave Montclair the lead for good with his
fourth goal of the game off an assist from Mario Passafiume to give the
Red Hawks an 8-7 lead with one second left in the third period.
Corsetto picks up Rookie of the Week honors
for the second straight week following a three-assist performance in the two-goal win on the road over Eastern Connecticut. Corsetto currently leads
the team with nine assists and is fourth on the team in scoring with 11
points, including eight in the last two games. |
