MARTONE NAMED TO NSCAA
MID-ATLANTIC ALL-REGION TEAM

Montclair, NJ (12/9/08) – Senior midfielder Angela Martone (right) was named to the National Soccer Coaches Assocation of America (NSCAA) Division III Mid-Atlantic All-Region Team. Martone, who helped Montclair to the ECAC Tournament semifinals this past season, was chosen to the Third Team.

MSU BUMPED OUT OF ECAC TOURNMANET BY NYU IN PENALTY KICKS

Newark, NJ (11/15/08) – The Montclair State women's soccer season came to an end on Saturday as the No. 3 seeded Red Hawks were ousted from the ECAC Metro Tournament by No. 2 seed New York University. The two teams battled to a 1-1 draw through 110 minutes but it was the Violet prevailing in penalty kicks, 5-4. Montclair ends its season at 11-10-2. Freshman Rachel Senyszyn (right) tied the game with just over six minutes remaining to force overtime.

SISTI SCINTILLATING IN FINAL THREE MINUTES AS MSU DOWNS ST. JOSEPH'S IN ECAC TOURNAMENT, 3-0

Montclair, NJ (11/12/08) – Junior forward Natalia Sisti (right) had a hand in all three goals over the final 2:19 of the contest as third-seeded Montclair State advanced to the semifinals of the ECAC Division III Metro Women’s Soccer Championship with a 3-0 victory over sixth-seeded St. Joseph’s College at Sprague Field on Wednesday evening.
