The task of getting
athletes back on the field is one that requires the insight and knowledge
of many professionals. The Montclair State Athletic Health Care Team has
always included physical therapists that have excellent evaluation and
rehabilitative skills. For the past several years Ben Burton and Christopher
Jones have been providing care and advise to the Athletic Training staff
at MSU.

Benjamin Burton,
PT, DPT, ATC, OCS, SCS, CSCS
Ben has been with Montclair State University since 1994 providing care
to our athletes and as an adjunct instructor. . He specializes in Orthopedic
and Sports related injuries for patients of all ages and has a particular
interest in knee, shoulder and spinal pathology. He is a Summa Cum Laude
graduate from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey,
Rocky Mountain University, and Kean University. Ben, who is also a Certified
Athletic Trainer, received his training from our own Montclair State University
and has worked with many local and professional athletes. He is also a
Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and is currently the only
physical therapist in New Jersey who is Board Certified in both Orthopaedic
and Sports Physical Therapy by the American Physical Therapy Association.
He is the sole owner of a thriving practice, The New Jersey Center of
Physical Therapy, located in the quaint town of Riverdale, NJ. If you

Christopher
Jones, DPT, PT, ATC
Christopher Jones graduated from Northeastern University in 1997
with a degree in Physical Therapy. He has been working in orthopedic and
sports medicine clinics for over the last seven years; including an internship
with Denver Broncos Sports Medicine. He also obtained his EMT certification
while attending the physical therapy program.
In 1998, Christopher
joined MSU to begin his athletic Training studies. He became certified
in the winter of 2000. He also obtained his doctorate in physical therapy
at UMDNJ in Newark in May 2004.
