If you answered yes to any of the questions, then come join young people on university campuses all over the world for the International Women’s Hackathon during Engineering Week, sponsored by Microsoft Research, National Center for Women & Information Technology, Association for Computing Machinery Committee on Women, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Women in Engineering, Microsoft Imagine Cup, and Skype!

You don’t have to be a techie to become a producer of innovation solutions. Help us inspire and support women to start the next Microsoft, Facebook, or Google. Join us April 25–27 at ADP Center in University Hall.

Who can join?

  • Young women students 16 years or older as team members and participants.
  • Young girls as junior supporters.
  • Young men students as peer supporters.
  • Alumni and members of the community as advisors and mentors.
  • Alumni and industry experts as judges.

Teams will include of all skill levels–we need diversity of thought to grow the innovation pipeline! It will be a great weekend to learn, invent, and create the future.

The event will be simultaneously broadcast through Skype on campuses around the world, so you can meet women not only on our campus but also across the world. A surprise celebrity guest will deliver the virtual keynote presentation. All participants will receive a Microsoft water bottle and winning teams Skype minutes and have their pitch video published on the Microsoft Research webpage. In addition, if the winning application is a Microsoft solution it will be published in the Microsoft Store
