Join the Passaic River Institute in this morning discussion on the Focus Feasibility Study of the lower 8 miles of the Passaic River. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has issued a proposed plan for cleaning up the lower 8.3 miles of the Lower Passaic River. The proposed plan includes dredging approximately 4.3 million cubic yards of sediment, bank-to-bank, and to cap the dredged area with sand and a layer of armoring stone. This plan will also allow for a navigable channel in the 2.2 miles of the River closest to Newark Bay.

  • U.S. Environmental Protection Agency – Region 2 reps
  • N.J. Department of Environmental Protection reps
