Since 1985, David Schoner has worked for the New Jersey Motion Picture and Television Commission. He is currently the Commission’'s statewide Associate Director. Under David’s guidance as Production Coordinator at the Film Commission, Variety ranked New Jersey fourth in the country in the amount of production work. New Jersey Monthly magazine ranked David as having the fourth best job in State of New Jersey for his work at the Film Commission.

David produced the award-winning film Minimal Knowledge (released by York Entertainment in January 2004 as Murder Reincarnated). Minimal Knowledge was screened at several regional and international film festivals, including the prestigious Chicago Latino Film Festival, Miami Latino Film Festival, and New York Latino Film Festival. The film won eight major awards and honors at the Sarasota Film Festival (Audience Award), Ajijic Mexico International Film Festival (Best Director, Best Drama, Audience Award, Best Actor), the Garden State Film Festival (Best Drama, Audience Award), and the Sedona International Film Festival (Gala Opening Night Feature).

David most recently produced the feature film A Dangerous Place, starring Kristen Dalton (The Departed, Dead Zone), Sal Rendino (ER) and Kevin Interdonato (The Sopranos). The film was released by Screen Media/Netflix this past January. In March 2012 at the Garden State Film Festival, A Dangerous Place won the festival’s top honor, Best Feature Audience Award, as well as the Best Homegrown Feature Film Award.
