Who: Open to currently enrolled CEHS undergraduate majors

Details: Here's an excellent opportunity to work directly with children's media experts to better understand how to tap directly into children's interests while supporting their learning in a range of content areas. WNET, NY Public Media and the ADP Center for Learning Technologies are hosting a free three-part workshop series this semester. During the three workshops you will:• Model strategies for effectively integrating media in yourclassroom• Investigate the research on media use and screen time• Create a media integrated lesson based on a PBS Kids seriesthat may be published on PBS LearningMedia• Explore free PBS resources available to assist in buildingyour educator toolbox
This is an opportunity for you to hone your media literacy skills and to learn how to make the most of these skills in your own future classroom. Participating in all three sessions means you'll also receive a certificate of completion which will really add to your job interview portfolio.
