What if we have understood creativity totally wrong? What if it is not an internal mental faculty but a worldly practice? Iain Kerr, the Creative Practices director at the Feliciano Center, will introduce and workshop an entirely new approach to working with, and managing, disruptive forms of creativity. While most innovation models focus on solving known problems via minor changes to existing products, this model teaches one how to invent new problems that are worth having, then develop new paradigms of action, and finally produce catalytic tools to evolve a world worth making. This hands-on, interactive workshop will introduce a new and highly effective model of creativity that is designed to help entrepreneurs pivot and overcome obstacles while building a robust and paradigm-transforming business model.

In this fast-paced and fun workshop, attendees will be seated around tables at the center of which is a solitary shoebox filled with a surprising collection of random, everyday items. This randomly assembled team, using the strange assortment of everyday objects, will be led through a journey to the heart of creativity, to collaboratively innovate in real time. Everyone will leave with new tools, concepts, skills and motivation to creatively transform the uncertainties and opportunities they might face (as well as a diagrammatic handout covering the key points of this unique method and a listing of further resources and readings).

This hands-on deep dive into a new paradigm of transformation will be one of our most unique events yet! Don’t miss it!
