Basics of Site Specific Risk Assessment in New Jersey
This one-day program will look at opportunities for applying site-specific risk assessment techniques under NJDEP’s regulatory framework for site remediation. The focus of this course will be on assessing human health impacts through the development and application of Alternative Remediation Standards through Site Specific Risk Assessment techniques allowed under the Site Remediation Program. Basics on understanding Risk Assessment and Risk Management and New Jersey’s Remediation Standard Legislative Framework will be reviewed. The program will include, focus on NJDEP Alternative Remediation Standards Processes for various exposure pathways. In addition, applying the Conceptual Site Model to assess potential exposure pathways will be highlighted.
