SCM Colloquium Series Presents: Janice Huff, Meteorologist, WNBC-TV.

On Friday November 13, Janice Huff will visit Montclair State to receive the Allen B. DuMont Broadcaster of the Year Award and participate in the SCM colloquium series. She will discuss her career and emerging challenges on the job. Register here.
Each year, the School presents the DuMont Award to an individual who has distinguished him/herself in the field of radio or television broadcasting. This award, first presented in 1982, has grown steadily in prestige. WNBC-TV's Bruce Beck was a recent honoree. The award is in recognition of Allen B. DuMont, early television inventor and programmer. Over the years, some of the other honorees include former Senator Bill Bradley, Inside Edition anchor Deborah Norville, WCBS-TV anchor Kristine Johnson, CBS Sports announcer Ian Eagle, WCBS Radio chopper 880 reporter Tom Kaminski, WABC-TV anchor/reporter Joe Torres, WWOR-TV anchor Brenda Blackmon and WABC-TV Reporter N.J. Burkett.
