What's being done to clean up contamination across New Jersey? And how are residents being affected?

Please join us for a discussion about the lingering impacts of New Jersey's toxic legacy, inspired by reporting from Dirty Little Secrets, a collaborative series from news organizations across New Jersey.

At this community forum, you'll have a chance to talk with journalists, experts and local residents about how pollution is taking a toll on New Jersey and what's being done about the issues highlighted by recent reporting – from abandoned gas tanks to untended contamination to a vulnerable industrial coast.

We'll also announce the winners of the project's student reporting contest, hosted by Rutgers and the Center for Cooperative Media at Montclair State, honoring reporting on environmental health in New Jersey.

More information on the program to come soon. Refreshments will be provided.

Participating news partners in Dirty Little Secrets include New Jersey Public Radio/WNYC, WHYY, NJTV, NJ Spotlight, Jersey Shore Hurricane News, WBGO, New Brunswick Today and the Rutgers Department of Journalism and Media Studies. The project is coordinated by The Center for Investigative Reporting with help from the Center for Cooperative Media at Montclair State. The project is made possible with a grant from the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation to CIR.
