Cancelled*- Buttermilk Falls - Moderate Hike
This charming hike in India Brook Park is reminiscent of prairies one would normally have to be much further west to enjoy. Weave your way through reeds and wetlands until you reach gorgeous Buttermilk Falls. Please be sure to wear sturdy, water-resistant or water-proof footwear.
What to Bring: Sturdy, closed-toe shoes (preferably hiking boots); thick, full-length pants (jeans are best); insect repellant; sunscreen; layered clothing; water; snack(s).
Potential Hazards: Poisonous plants/allergies, insect bites, unpredictable weather changes, sunburn/heat exhaustion, limited vision, dehydration, steep, rocky, and/or slippery terrain, rolling or falling rocks, snakes and large animals, injuries including sprains/strains, abrasions, lacerations and fractures.
