9/11 National Day of Service
When Is It?


This year's National day of service is on Saturday, September 10.
The day will begin with breakfast and registration from 8-8:45 a.m. in the Student Center Cafeteria. All students, faculty/staff, and Alumni are welcome to join and serve!


What Exactly Will I Be Doing? 


Following a ceremony paying tribute to the 15th anniversary of the ultimate service from emergency responders on September 11, 2001, volunteers will break out into service site groups to volunteer in our local communities.
Volunteers are encouraged to come ready to make a difference and are recommended to dress in comfortable layers that they don’t mind getting dirty. Closed-toe shoes or sneakers are required. Service will occur rain or shine. Hats, long pants, and weather-appropriate dress are recommended for outdoor sites.

All volunteers will register for specific service sites on morning of the Day of Service and are strongly encouraged to RSVP their attendance to the event prior. Spots for service sites will be given on a first-come first-served basis the day of. Some sites will be added at a later date.
