University Calendar

This event will include the exhibitions of interviews with local business people and residents of the Ironbound.  Students will host a cultural fair and will bring some typical food from Portugal, Angola, and Brazil.  The timeline for the event is as follows:

• 5:30 p.m.- Presentation of student's cultural fair
• 6:00 p.m.- Readings on the topic of immigration featuring Brazilian Poet Ananda Lima and Dr. Johnny Lorenz
• 6:30 p.m.- Capoeira demonstration with David Morgan
• 7:00 p.m.- "Brazilian Music Trio", playing music from Brazil and Beyond
• Place: Dickson Hall, Cohen Lounge
• Date: Monday, April 17th, 2017

This event is free and is open to all. The event is being presented by the Department of Spanish and Italian and the Portuguese Studies Program and is being sponsored by the CHSS Dean's Office.
