How often does a great story dominate the headlines, only to be dropped from the news cycle? What really happened? Retro Report is a digital-first documentary news organization dedicated to examining stories after their headlines fade. Each of the short documentaries delivers a complete report of a major news event, and the resulting impact on our lives today. Register here.

Executive Producer Kyra Darnton is an award-winning journalist whose vision brought Retro Report to life. A 20-year broadcast veteran, her work at 60 Minutes has been honored with a Peabody Award  and numerous Emmy Awards. Producer Bonnie Bertram has produced stories for CNN, Time.com and elsewhere. They bring their stories and passion to Montclair State’s School of Communication and Media’s Colloquium Series.

Retro Report is a not-for-profit news organization whose short documentaries aim to look at today’s most pressing issues and answer the question of how we got here. Films are distributed on The New York Times web site, NBC, Quartz, Frontline and elsewhere.
