September 28: What Are Plato's Forms?

New Location: Schmitt Hall, *Room 104*

What do philosophers come to know in their search for knowledge? Answer: the Forms (according to Plato). There is a Form of Justice, a Form of Beauty, and even a Form of Chair-ness. What is a Form?  Hints: Plato asserts that the Forms are ideal (perfect), knowable only via thought, eternal, non-physical, and unchangeable.

Thursdays - 11:45AM–12:45 PM

What is P4L?
Students and professors close-read and discuss a few great passages of philosophy.

Who's invited?
No preparation or previous knowledge of philosophy is needed. Everyone is welcome!

Should I bring anything?
Bring a beverage, and if you're hungry, bring your actual lunch.
