We will present work from our NSF-funded project for the Improving Undergraduate STEM Education program that involves creating and assessing interdisciplinary instructional modules that promote creativity in STEM courses.  Our project is motivated by the documented need for STEM students to understand the importance of process in STEM and is deeply grounded in research on learning theories, interdisciplinary pedagogies, hands-on learning, and undergraduate STEM education.
