Capital Projects

In order to support the growth in the size, scope and quality of the University's programs, MSU will expand and improve its physical plant by providing additional facilities, such as:

  • University Hall, the largest and most sophisticated building in Montclair State University's history and the new home of the University's nationally renowned College of Education and Human Services and the ADP Center for Teacher Preparation and Learning Technologies;
  • The Alexander Kasser Theater, a 500-seat, state-of-the-art space for dance, musical theater, choral, orchestra and chamber ensemble performances, as well as lectures;
  • The Children's Center, a significantly enlarged center for the University's programs for very young children and children with disabilities-and an important site for the training of early childhood and special education teachers;
  • A recreation center to serve the University's growing student population; and
  • Renovations of existing historic campus buildings and classrooms to accommodate the growth of faculty and student/faculty research.
