Memorial and Honorary Gifts

A gift in memory or in honor of a friend or loved one is more than an expression of respect. There is no more meaningful way to honor a life than by a gift that continues to benefit others. Any gift, whether outright or planned, may be made in memory or in honor of someone. The Foundation will be glad to assist donors in choosing appropriate commemorations for any gift.

Families often request that memorial donations be sent to the MSU Foundation. Such a tribute is appropriate even in the absence of a public request. Unlike other gestures of sympathy, a memorial contribution lives on in service to other people. All memorial gifts are promptly acknowledged to the donors and the families are advised of each donor's name and address. The amount of the gift is not reported to the next of kin.
