Every Gift Counts

Thomas J. Haynes Vice President for
University Advancement
“Here at Montclair State, we are building a stronger foundation for the future,” says Thomas J. Haynes, Vice President for University Advancement. “All our efforts are significant and each and every one moves us forward.” In the spirit of Montclair State’s centennial year of 2008, we are finding innovative, aggressive ways of supporting events and fundraising, with the help of the University’s loyal alumni and friends and the private sector.
“We are fortunate that the Campaign has brought a large percentage of the Montclair State family together,” says Dr. Haynes. “We continue to rely on everyone’s support. Every gift is appreciated.”
“We will continue to proactively create opportunities for support,” Dr. Haynes says. With the help of alumni, friends, corporations and foundations, The Campaign for the Second Century has raised significant funds to support the University’s academic programs, including new curriculums; scholarships for deserving students; and beautiful, technologically state-of-the-art facilities.
“We have a bright future ahead for our second century, but we will continue to face challenges from declining state funding,” he says. “On a positive note, opportunities continue to present themselves and require the support of the entire extended Montclair State family to keep our university affordable and accessible for the next generations of students.”
“We are always thrilled when individuals and organizations give us whatever they can,” adds Dr. Haynes. “Every gift makes a difference in building a stronger future for Montclair State and its students.”
