Marie received her undergraduate degree from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. There she earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and art. She went on to receive a master’s degree and doctoral degree from Columbia University - Teachers College in Health Education.
Marie has worked for several non-profit organizations including the National Council on Alcohol and Drug Dependence of Hudson County, Planned Parenthood of Greater Northern New Jersey and Partnership for a Drug Free New Jersey. Marie has facilitated workshops addressing Body Image, Healthy Relationships, Alcohol Awareness, Communication skills, Leadership skills, Diversity and many other health issues.

Allie is a certified health education specialist (CHES) with a bachelor’s degree in public health from The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. She is currently pursuing a second degree in nutrition and food science with a concentration in dietetics, in hopes of becoming a registered dietitian. Allie has a passion for health and wellness, and loves getting others excited about their own health.

Kamila is currently a graduate student at Montclair State University pursuing a Master of Public Health. She received her Bachelor of Science in public health from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. She has a passion for biology, health and wellness education, and epidemiology. For the future, her hopes are to continue her education and pursue her doctorate in epidemiology. During her free time she enjoys reading or watching television about crime investigation and forensics.

Alyssa is a proud alumna of Montclair State University. She has a Bachelor of Science in health education with a concentration in public health. She is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in public and organizational relations. Alyssa is extremely passionate about women’s health and human sexuality education. She believes that everyone should be empowered to make informed decisions regarding their health and works to spread knowledge through the power of education.

Tahsina is a senior at Montclair State University. She is majoring in Family and Child Studies, with a concentration in Family Services, minoring in Arabic Languages and a concentration in Child Advocacy. She’s currently a Student Assistant for Health Promotion and has been a part of Health Promotion since her freshman year. She’s grateful for all the experience and relationships she’s made throughout her years here. Aside from Health Promotion, Tahsina enjoys volunteering with children and hopes one day to become a social worker.

Katie, a sophomore at Montclair State, is nutrition major with a minor in art and design studio. She loves working at Health Promotion’s Drop In Center and considers the little cottage another home. When she’s not dressing up as a giant cigarette or giving away apples, she’s a community assistant in Dinallo Heights. Katie is interested in all things wellness, and wants to help people help themselves.

Cora-Ann is a senior Exercise Science major with a Psychology minor. She is a Peer Advocate at the Drop-In Center as well as a Group-X instructor and Area Supervisor for Group Fitness at the Student Recreation Center. She serves as the liaison between Campus Recreation and Health Promotion to help promote and assist the integration of the goals of each area. She is passionate about fitness and health and wants to encourage and inspire people to make healthier decisions and lead healthier lifestyles by showing that it’s possible for anyone to do. Outside of health and fitness, Cora-Ann also enjoys music; she dabbles in guitar and has a rock radio show on Montclair’s radio station, 90.3 FM WMSC.

Cassidy is a sophomore music therapy major, with a psychology minor. She is from a small town in Upstate NY that is known for its Wizard of Oz themed stores and yellow brick sidewalk. She joined Health Promotion her freshman year because she wanted to meet new people and help others students lead a healthier and stress free life! She's passionate about educating others and giving people directions when they get lost on campus. When she's not at the Drop In Center she can be found in the music building tickling the ivories and ebonies. She hopes to one day incorporate everything she's learned from her time at Health Promotion into her practice as a Music Therapist.

Michelle is currently a senior at Montclair State University, majoring in psychology with minors in public health and women and gender studies. She has been a part of Health Promotion since her Junior year and has enjoyed every moment she's spent at the Drop-In-Center. Michelle is very passionate about promoting positive body image and healthy decision making. Michelle aspires to attend graduate school to obtain her PhD in clinical psychology with a focus in behavior therapy and addiction research. Besides her work at the Drop-In-Center and all her studies, Michelle enjoys a good book or a sci-fi marathon in her free time.
