AFAA Recommendations

  1. Consult a doctor before beginning an exercise program.
  2. Always LISTEN to your body, pace yourself, slow down when needed, & GRADUALLY increase.
  3. Keep hydrated! Drink 8-10oz prior to exercise. Drink 3-4oz every 20 minutes during exercise.
  4. Avoid Overtraining by:
    • Limit # of high impact classes
    • Vary class type/intensity
    • Ingest nutritious diet with adequate total of calories, carbohydrates, protein, and water.
  5. If you experience difficulty breathing, dizziness, fatigue, dehydration, or musculoskeletal pain, notify the instructor or trainer.
