Q: Do you have job listings?   

A: Employers list jobs via Career Directions, our own job-listing system. Students need to register with the system in order to access jobs.

Q: Where else can I find job listings?

A: Our Online Resourcessection offers information on additional job listing sites.

Q: How do I find on-campus employment?

A: Attend our Part Time Job Fair, held every September. Check out Career Directions and our Facebook PageStudent Assistant and Federal Work Study positions are listed on those sites.

Q: Can you critique my resume? 

A: Sure, do one of the following:

- Email your resume/information to

- Drop off your resume to our office and arrange to pick it up later

- Call the office (973-655-5194) to make an appointment with your Career Counselor. 

Q: I need career counseling myself but am neither a Montclair State University student nor an alum.

A: We only provide counseling to current students or alumni. Visit the website of the National Career Development Association to identify certified counselors. (You will enter the state name to see all counselors in that state.) You can also check our community organizations that offer free or low cost counseling.
