“Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning.” Albert Einstein

Leadership within education is an avenue that I am pursuing as I thoroughly enjoy crafting and facilitating learning opportunities, whether that be with a class of students or a room of educators. This spark first ignited when I took on the role serving as an instructional technology coach for over seventy fellow teachers. Inspiring educators to integrate technology into their classrooms, utilizing best practices, and facilitating opportunities for collaboration fueled my desire to continue serving in a leadership role. I aspire to use my passion and expertise in curriculum and instruction to serve as a school administrator or district leader.

“Don’t let someone dim your light simply because it’s shining in their eyes.”

My ultimate goal would be to serve as a Dean of Students. I would like to be able to engage with students and advocate for them when needed and necessary. This role would also allow me the opportunity to have a seat at the table when creating, restructuring, or implementing institutional policies and procedures. I am hoping one day students can see me in this role and believe they too can achieve anything they set their mind and heart to.

I aim to build on my experiences and passion as an educator in order to have a positive impact on a greater scale as an innovative educational leader. I plan to use my leadership degree to become an assistant principal in the district that I have spent the past 15 years. As a former high school graduate of the district, it has become my home. I know first hand the impact the district had on my educational career and it is my desire to continue to have an impact on students and teachers moving forward.
