COUN 531: Counseling Across the Life Span
This course focuses on the study of human development across the life span. Normal or typical developmental tasks are reviewed, as well as principles related to developmental psychopathology. Theoretical models of development including biological/physical, social, psychological, and spiritual development are discussed within the framework of developmental counseling. The course provides students with an understanding of developmental theory across the live span as it relates to client assessment, counseling, and treatment. 2.5 hours lecture.
Prerequisites: Matriculation in graduate counseling program.
