EDFD 812: Contemporary Social and Political Philosophy and Philosophy for Children
This course provides the participants (instructor and students) the opportunity to use contemporary social and political theory as a means of discerning the social and political dimensions of ordinary experience, and of making political analyses of the materials and methods of Philosophy for Children. This course also provides the opportunity to experiment with the community of inquiry as a forum for political inquiry and action. We will select a number of social and political issues to confront, work toward constructing personal and collective responses, and experiment in putting our convictions into action. 3 hours lecture.
Prerequisites: Matriculation in Ed.D.in Pedagogy.
