Overview

The Post-Baccalaureate Certificate program in Developmental Models of Autism Intervention (DMAI) prepares teachers and other educators, mental health practitioners and allied health professionals to use assessment, education and intervention strategies to work with children with autism and their families. It provides professionals with comprehensive academic and applied experiences around Autism Spectrum Disorder from a developmental and relational perspective.

Courses are offered during the evenings and summers to meet the needs of working students, and individuals may complete the certificate program in just one year.

Transition to Master’s Program in Inclusive Early Childhood Education
Following successful completion of the certificate program, students may choose to apply to the MEd in Inclusive Early Childhood Education without having to submit GRE test scores. If admitted to the MEd, all 15 certificate credits would transfer into that program.
