The course requirements listed below apply to those students admitted on or after Fall 2011. Anyone admitted prior to this term should refer to their Analysis of Academic Progress on Nest or see your academic advisor for your official program of study.

* Students should consider their career goals when they select the elective course(s). Students who select NUFD 509, Research Seminar, (3 credits) should take a minimum of 4 credit hours of elective courses. Those who select NUFD 698, Thesis, (4 credits) must take a minimum of 3 credit hours of elective courses. Students who choose emphasis A (Nutrition Education) may take courses under emphasis B (Nutrition and Food Science Management) as electives, and vice versa. IV. Culminating Experience
A. Those who elect to take NUFD 698, Thesis (4 credits), will defend their work before their thesis coordinator and the committee that has assisted in the study.

B. Those who elect to take NUFD 509 Research Seminar (3 credits), will take comprehensive examination after completing at least 24 semester hours of their program in spring (March) and fall (October) semester.
