Montclair State University will mark an important milestone when we commemorate our centennial in 2008. We invite you to join the celebration. Throughout the year we will salute our past and look toward our promising future as we celebrate the centennial through a variety of activities and events for our students, alumni, faculty, staff and our neighboring communities. The Montclair State Athletic Department is capturing 100 memorable moments in sports.

From its early days as a normal school to its present standing as one of the leading comprehensive universities in the state and region, Montclair State has seen remarkable change and growth during its first 100 years. Still, our solid tradition of educational innovation, inspired teaching and scholarly achievement has never wavered.

Montclair State is a dynamic institution that will continue to offer even greater opportunities for our students as we boldly move into our second century. Over the next 100 years, about 350,000 students will earn degrees from Montclair State, and we are committed to providing these bright, ambitious students who have much to contribute to New Jersey and the world the facilities, faculty and scholarships they will need to to pursue their dreams.
