Dr. Stephanie Campos (
Dr. Stephanie Campos has a PhD in Anthropology from the Graduate Center, City University of New York. Her dissertation, titled "Small Village/Large Hell": Cocaine and Incarceration in Lima, Peru, explores the ways in which the Santa Monica women's prison in Lima both reflects and reconstructs intersecting inequalities of race, class, gender and citizenship. It was awarded the Carolyn G. Heilbrun Dissertation Prize for outstanding feminist dissertation in the humanities by the Women's Studies Certificate Program at the The Graduate Center CUNY in 2014. She has taught courses in Latin American studies, anthropology, sociology and women's studies.

Dr. Richard Franke (
Dr. Richard W. Franke is Professor Emeritus of Anthropology.  He received his PhD in Anthropology from Harvard University in 1972 with a dissertation entitled, The Green Revolution in a Javanese Village.  His research interests are quite extensive and address the following topics: sustainability, localization and local development, economic and ecological anthropology, inequality, anthropology and public policy, democracy and development.  He is the former Chair of the Anthropology Dept at MSU, where he helped develop the current faculty, wrote a number of new courses for the curriculum, and created tips for student success/study skills.  He currently lives in Ecovillage, Ithaca, and teaches online for Montclair State University.  For more information about him, including his two-page CV, please visit:
