Minor in Latin American and Latino Studies!

Recent census analyses reveal that Latinos account for 12% of New Jersey's population, making New Jersey the state with the 7th largest Latino population.  By 2015, it is projected that Latinos will exceed 17% of the state's population.  As such, potential employers and graduate schools look favorably upon graduates who have the unique academic background provided by a minor in Latin American and Latino Studies.  If you have taken six credits in Spanish or Portuguese or plan on taking one of these two languages, then you are eligible to declare this minor.  Please review the attached curriculum guide.

If you are interested in adding the minor or discussing this program further, please contact the program director – Dr. William Rosa at rosaw@mail.montclair.edu
