Congratulations to Dr. Michael Boyle, assistant professor of Communication Sciences and Disorders, who has been named a recipient of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association’s (ASHA) 2017 Advancing Academic Research Careers (AARC) award. Dr. Boyle is one of 10 awardees this year. The award provides $5,000 to support mentored activities in both teaching and research. These activities will be carried out over an 18 month funding period with guidance from teaching mentor Dr. Mary Boyle, associate professor of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Montclair State University, and research mentor, Dr. Rodney Gabel, professor of Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Toledo. The AARC award is intended to support the academic-research careers of faculty members in the field of communication sciences and disorders.
