Evening Lecture on America’s Role In the Rebirth of Zion

Join Dr. Michael Kogan this Thursday, Nov. 19 at 8pm in Cohen Lounge, Dickson Hall

Dr. Kogan delivers a lecture on the history of Israel's creation and the American leadership that was instrumental to its success.  Please join the Jewish American Studies Program, Hillel and the Department of Philosophy and Religion this Thursday night to hear Dr. Michael S. Kogan speak about American participation in the origin of Israel.

Dr. Kogan is Director of the Jewish American Studies program and Professor of Religious Studies in the College of Social Sciences and Humanities at MSU.  He is the author of Opening the Covenant: A Jewish Theology of Christianity, and well-established figure in interfaith dialogue.  He is also a talented and engaging public orator - this will not be a dull or obscure academic presentation.

The lecture will take place in the Cohen Lounge of Dickson Hall at 8pm this Thursday, November 19.  A reception will follow the lecture at Dr. Kogan's home (maps available at the lecture.)  For more information, please contact the Philosophy & Religion department, 973-655-5144.
