Majors and Minor

According to the American Sociological Association, Sociology is "the study of social life, social change, and the social causes and consequences of human behavior. Sociologists investigate the structure of groups, organizations, and societies, and how people interact within these contexts."

We focus on these diverse aspects of society through our undergraduate major and minor degrees that provides students with a strong general knowledge of the field of Sociology and solid competence in statistics and research methods. The versatility of the program and the rich experiential learning possibilities of the New York metropolitan area combine to make the sociology curriculum valuable preparation for a career choice.
