TITLE/RANK Assistant Professor of Sociology
DESCRIPTION Tenure-Track position.  Assistant Professor of Sociology with expertise in one or more of the following areas:  Race, Urban, Environmental, Medical, Social Policy.  Other areas will be considered.  Experience in teaching statistics or research methods is also a plus.  Activities required of all faculty members include curriculum development, grant acquisition, research, recruitment and retention activities, advising, service to the department, college and university.
QUALIFICATIONS Ph.D. in Sociology.  Doctorate should be completed by the time of appointment (i.e., Sept. 1, 2014).  Candidates should have strong research and teaching skills.  Evidence of successful grant acquisitions or specific plans for grants seeking in the future will also considered.  Candidates are encouraged to include documentation of teaching ability (e.g., student evaluations).
SALARY RANGE Dependent upon qualifications
