Convocations

Each College and School will host a Convocation Ceremony for those students who will complete their degree requirements by May 2012 and for those whose degrees were conferred in August 2011 and January 2012. While the University Commencement on May 18 signifies the official conferral of degrees, the individual College and School Convocations are pre-commencement ceremonies celebrating students' achievements to be held beginning the week prior to Commencement.

Unlike the May 18 Commencement exercises, seating is limited and tickets are required for the Convocations.

Please note: Master's and Doctoral degree candidates are to attend the Graduate School Convocation only.

Tickets

Seating for the Convocation ceremonies is limited and tickets are required for the Convocations. Tickets will be available in late April (date to be announced) and can be obtained through your College or School's Convocation site (links to be provided below by late January).

• School of Business: Sunday, May 13, 2012 at 10:00 am
• College of Science and Mathematics: Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 3:00 pm
• College of the Arts: Sunday, May 13, 2012 at 2:00 pm
• College of Education and Human Services: Monday, May 14, 2012 at 2:00 pm
• College of Humanities and Social Sciences: Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 10:00 am
• Graduate School: Monday, May 14, 2012 at 7:00 pm

Rain Date for Convocations - Sprague Field:

• Tuesday, May 15, 2012

*Degree will be conferred at Commencement on May 18.

Accessibility

Guests who require special seating should contact the specific College or School for which ceremony they are planning to attend. Tickets are still required even for special seating.

Driving/Parking

Parking is available for free in all numbered surface lots and the Red Hawk Deck. Click here for a parking map, including information about parking for guests with special needs. The Red Hawk Shuttle will be running on a regular schedule during Convocations with service to all parking areas. Please note: Parking fees and ticketing will be suspended ONLY on the days of the events. Regular fees apply during regular days/hours.
