Undergraduate Programs

If you’re a student interested in teaching, learning and research in science and mathematics, you’ve come to the right place. Montclair State University’s College of Science and Mathematics (CSAM) offers strong baccalaureate and certificate programs in science and mathematics, as well as articulation programs with the University of Medicine and Dentistry—NJ.

Through a variety of discovery-based courses and research opportunities, students are engaged in scientific and mathematical discovery in the classroom, in the laboratory and out in the field. If your inquisitive mind is constantly seeking answers, you will feel right at home at CSAM.

Our students are highly ambitious, motivated and curious, making our combined B.S./M.S. programs in Aquatic and Coastal Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, and Computer Science, and B.S./Pharm.D program in biochemistry, biology, chemistry, and molecular biology highly popular.

Skilled faculty will guide you in your interests, whether it’s in genome sequencing or medicine, space exploration or science informatics, geography or geology, aquatic or terrestrial sciences, calculus or computation, environmental management or chemistry. And you’ll get right to work learning by doing in our many facilities from a microscopy facility to our new Environmental Modeling Laboratory.

We also offer CSAM students a unique opportunity to live together in an environment that promotes academic excellence and fosters personal, intellectual, social and academic growth.

We invite you to browse around the CSAM web site to learn more about the many opportunities and possibilities available.
