Center for Environmental Management and Analysis

The Center for Environmental Management & Analysis (CEMA) at Montclair State University is located in the College of Science and Mathematics, within the Department of Earth & Environmental Studies.

CEMA provides university-wide leadership and coordination for energy and environmentally-related research and service activities. The Center focuses its resources to address energy, air and water quality issues, solid and hazardous waste, sediment and land contamination, and coastal resource management.

The Center's base of researchers are drawn from a wide range of academic departments at the University. These researchers specialize in: Environmental business issues; environmental sustainability; waste management solutions and analysis; alternative energy systems (wind, solar, geothermal, hydro); geo-chemical and soils analysis; hydrologic modeling; geoscience and underground penetrating radar; and GIS mapping and remote sensing.
