B.S. and Doctor of Pharmacy Program
A 7-year combined B.S./Pharm.D. program, offered with the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers University (New Brunswick), is composed of three (3) years of undergraduate study in the Department of Biology and Molecular Biology or the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Montclair State, and four (4) years of study in the Professional phase of the Doctor of Pharmacy Program at Rutgers. During the three years at Montclair State, the student would complete all the requirements for the two pre-professional years in the standard Doctor of Pharmacy Program, plus take additional course work in the chosen major and complete Montclair State's General Education requirements. After the completion of the first (professional) year at Rutgers, the student would receive a Bachelor of Science degree from Montclair State in the chosen major (Biology, Molecular Biology, Chemistry, or Biochemistry).
